(Renton, WA -August 24th)The Phoenix Project, in partnership with Hopes and Smiles , hosted a badminton tournament in Renton, Washington. This year The Phoenix Project distributed all 30 participants from around Redmond Ridge into 3 indoor courts.
In the past, The Phoenix Project had organized another badminton tournament. However, it was much smaller. This year we took a big leap forward to triple the number of participants and partner with other nonprofit organizations.
“The Phoenix Project is proud to be working with Hopes and Smiles to build community and contribute to childcare research during these uncertain times” says Aaditya Rao, Co-chairman and Director of Strategy at The Phoenix Project “We hope to continue this partnership with Hopes and Smiles for many more events in the future.”
This partnership with Hopes and Smiles contributes to their commitment to helping underprivileged children in India pursue their dreams. This event raised $4000 through donations and volunteer matching to help underprivileged children in India.
“While there are many noble charities that are helping children pursue their dreams, Hopes and Smiles for children has one mission” says Vikram Garlapati, founder of Hopes and Smiles “to help fund childcare research and childcare resources to underprivileged to pursue their dreams and build a bright future.”
We are looking forward to partnering once again with Hopes and Smiles to run a winter tournament and many more events.
